Rex Jung has been on the faculty in the Departments of Neurology (2003–2006) and Neurosurgery (2008–2021) at the University of New Mexico. He is now an Assistant Research Professor of Psychology at the University of New Mexico.
He has published more than 100 research articles across a wide range of disciplines, including traumatic brain injury, lupus, schizophrenia, intelligence, creativity, and genius. His research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the National Endowment for the Arts, DARPA, and the John Templeton Foundation.
