ABOUT BRAIN AND BEHAVIORAL ASSOCIATES
Neuropsychology is the study of how brain structure and function is related to our ability to think, reason, remember, and live successfully in our daily lives. Within a medical or legal setting, an evaluation is designed to assist in determining how cognitive functioning, including attention, memory, language, motor, processing speed, and problem solving, are functioning as a consequence of brain disease or injury.
We also provide expedited neuropsychological services for a flat fee. This provides our best services to diagnose and recommend treatment for your brain disorder in an extremely timely manner (within 2 weeks). This is the same excellent service we provide to all patients, but quicker, and outside of insurance constraints.
We accept Presbyterian, Medicaid, and Medicare insurances.
Brain and Behavioral Associates is led by Rex Jung, who was on faculty at the University of New Mexico in the Departments of Neurology (from 2003 to 2006) and the Department of Neurosurgery (from 2008 to 2021). He is now an Assistant Research Professor of Psychology at the University of New Mexico.
Rex received his training in clinical psychology, specializing in neuropsychology, at the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque. He then completed an internship at Baylor College of Medicine in the departments of Neurosurgery and Behavioral Medicine, and postdoctoral training at the University of New Mexico in Psychiatry Research.
